Even if it’s only for a limited time, Respawn Entertainment seems to be taking into consideration player feedback as they have recently introduced a “Duos” mode to Apex Legends.

Apex Legends is a squad-based Battle Royale shooter where players can only play in squads of three. Although Respawn Entertainment did introduce a “Solo” mode a couple of months ago, they have since removed it.

Thankfully, the “Duos” mode is finally here.

For those who are interested, the limited time “Duos” mode will be available on November 5, which means that it won’t be long before you can get to play with your best friend.

Is Duos the Way to Go?

Considering that Respawn Entertainment has yet to bring back the “Solo” mode for Apex Legends, it’s clear that Respawn Entertainment isn’t interested in breaking the three-person squad format just yet. But then again, who can blame them?

The three-persons squad of Apex Legends works for a reason.

Because of how Apex Legends’ long drawn-out firefights play out and how different classes synergize with each other, playing as a trio just makes sense. Not to mention, it helps keep it unique from other Battle Royale titles, to the point that it has seen as many as 70 million registered players and it hasn’t even been a year since it first released.

But still, kudos for Respawn Entertainment for willing to experiment.

The three-man squads may very well work for Apex Legends, but sometimes, people just want to play with just one other person. Some players also only want to play alone.

With that said, we’ll just have to wait and see how well the “Duos” mode will work for Apex Legends.
