With hundreds of millions of players in China, Arena of Valor is easily one of the most successful MOBA titles out there. But, it’s about to get even more successful and bigger with the announcement of a Nintendo Switch version on September 25.

Arena of Valor for the Nintendo Switch went through a beta period earlier this summer, and after some extensive testing, the game is now going to be live on Nintendo Switch consoles starting on September 25.

The best part? The game will be free-to-play, just as it is for the iOS and Android.

A mobile-based MOBA title, Arena of Valor differentiates itself from other MOBAs in that it was designed to make the MOBA experience more accessible to fans. Unlike in Dota 2 and League of Legends, where learning the game can take dozens of hours to even get the basics down pat, Arena of Valor can be played by literally anyone and anywhere.

The addition of a Nintendo Switch version marks the first time that the game's developers and publishers, Tencent, will release a port of one of their titles for a console.

Given the robust player base of Arena of Valor in China and its growing popularity outside of it, the addition of a Nintendo Switch version should only make the game even more popular and accessible to fans, both in the East and the West.
