Three years into its release, Clash Royale’s popularity continues to grow as more and more people are starting to pick up the game, some of which in hopes of becoming a professional Clash Royale player and participate in the CRL. With new updates coming frequently to keep the game feeling fresh and new, Clash Royale has found a successful formula for keeping their players coming back for more. But the constantly changing “meta” surrounding Clash Royale means that it’s only going to get more difficult for new players to learn and start playing the game. Having said that, we came up with some of the most effective strategies that beginners should try and learn if they want to be better in Clash Royale.
1. Build a balance deck
In Clash Royale, you’re only as good as your deck, and as tempting as it is to build a deck full of powerful damage dealers, it’s not the best way to play the game. Balance is everything in Clash Royale and it pays to have a mix of different types of units as they’re all quite useful in their own ways. Otherwise, you’ll end up being a one-trick pony that will lose just because your deck is one-dimensional.
2.Learn to pair units
Pairing units is one of the best and most useful mechanics in Clash Royale. The more you know how and which units to pair, the more devastating your attacks towards your foes will be. A good example is pairing a Giant with a Balloon to tank all of the damage while the Balloon unleashes havoc.
3.Play with the sounds on
Unlike in Clash of Clans where the sound is rather optional, in Clash Royale, it’s essential to play the game with the audio on. If you play muted, you’re more prone to missing out on other important queues in the game, which can lose you a lot of games.
