After their crushing defeat versus Natus Vincere in the quarter-finals of the recently-concluded IEM Katowice Major, FaZe Clan’s superstar and current IGL, Nikola ‘NiKo’ Kovač, shed some light regarding the future of the team’s all-star CS:GO roster. During an interview with the leading CS:GO site, HLTV, NiKo talked in length about how surprised he was at the turnout of the event, and the current status of their roster. Pertaining to their quarter-final exit, NiKo talked about how they thought that they could win the entire tournament and that the way they played at the tournament caught him by surprise as he expected more out of the team. As a result of the early exit, which was preceded by a rocky New Legends stage performance, FaZe Clan fans are wondering if there are plans to switch up the roster once again. NiKo clarified that their new coach, Janko 'YNk' Paunovič, is “100% staying for now” and that their other addition Dauren 'AdreN' Kystaubayev will also continue to be part of the team going forward.Despite a disappointing finish for the all-star team, NiKo remained optimistic about the future of his squad. He talks about how the Major was a good experience for himself and how he changed a lot as a result. NiKo stepped in as FaZe Clan’s full-time IGL at the IEM Katowice Major following the departure of Finn ‘karrigan’ Andersen. He’ll likely continue to find ways to improve his leadership style as they prepare for the BLAST Pro Series tournament in São Paulo on March 22. The current FaZe Clan roster for CS:GO is as follows:
- Janko 'YNk' Paunovič (Coach)- Nikola 'NiKo' Kovač (IGL)- Dauren 'AdreN' Kystaubayev (Stand-in)- Ladislav ‘GuardiaN' Kovačs- Håvard 'Rain' Nygaard- Olof 'Olofmeister' Kajbjer
