Set to face off against top LCS teams, Cloud9 and Team SoloMid, the struggling 100 Thieves have made changes to their roster to try and give themselves a better shot at qualifying for the playoffs.

Veteran mid-laner Choi ‘Huhi' Jae-hyun, has now been benched from the lineup, with 100 Thieves giving his spot to the rookie, Max ‘Soligo’ Soong.

100 Thieves are currently tied in last place with Clutch Gaming and Echo Fox with 4-8 win-loss records. For them to have any shot at qualifying for the LCS Spring Split playoffs, 100 Thieves will have to start upping their game and flawless run. Otherwise, they won’t be making it to St. Louis, Missouri, to take part in the postseason activities.

Rumors first arose when Huhi was announced as the starting mid-laner for 100 Thieves’ LCS Academy team. This was later confirmed to be true by 100 Thieves themselves in their latest documentary series, “The Heist”, where Neil ‘pr0lly' Hammad, explained the reasoning behind their decision to bench Huhi from the main lineup.

He talked in length about Huhi’s strengths, as well as his shortcomings. In particular, pr0lly believed that Huhi just lacked the ability to play a lot more for himself, which they believe they’ll get more from Soligo. He also talked about how nervous he is that the team is set to face off against Team SoloMid and Cloud9 going into the weekend.

Still, despite his worries, pr0lly declared that this was a “must-win week” for 100 Thieves towards the end of the video.
