Perhaps the most iconic League of Legends team in North America, Team SoloMid, otherwise known as TSM, recently announced that they are set to start a Junior League team soon. TSM believes that, in doing so, they’re giving young and untrained League of Legends players a chance to join any one of the 13 competitive leagues. Although this program is set to be the first of its kind, TSM believes that by signing an amateur team, they’ll be the first to address the issue of having too many talented League of Legends players suffering from the lack of commitment and support. In their announcement, TSM acknowledged the influx of talented solo queue who, for one reason or another (but mostly lack of exposure), could not find a chance to land themselves a roster spot on any one of the teams playing in the 13 competitive leagues. Or, at the very least, let the chance slip away because they had other priorities. So far, TSM have only added three new players to their alternative roster. This includes Austin “Sarcasm” Tran and Rico “Sword” Chen. Last, but certainly not the least, is Johnson Nguyen, who was picked up directly by TSM from solo-queue. Johnson Nguyen was one of the best pickups from solo-queue any team has ever done in the past. TSM’s Junior Team are set to play against similarly-skilled opponents soon.As of the moment, TSM are still looking to fill up their vacancies. If you feel like being a part of TSM’s new project, make sure to reach out to them as soon as you can.
