With the qualifiers for the MDL Disneyland Paris Major well underway, two teams have already secured their spots for the festivities in May. Europe’s finest teams, Team Liquid, and Team Secret, took no time qualifying for the fourth Major of the 2018-19 Dota Pro Circuit. Team Secret, in particular, went undefeated during the qualifiers, sweeping all The Final Tribe, OG, as well as Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat was his usual amazing self all throughout, toying with Ninjas in Pyjamas on his signature Rubick in Game 1 of their series as the match quickly ended in just 24 minutes.

Ninjas in Pyjamas never really got close to threatening Team Secret. Even when they had a relatively good early game for one of their cores with Marcus “Ace” Hoelgaard on Anti-Mage, the rest of Team Secret were doing just as well too. As all three of Team Secret’s cores farmed happily, Team Secret would go on to win Game 2 and close out the series to advance to the Major in Paris.

As for Team Liquid, their run was not nearly as dominant, but impressive nevertheless. In the playoffs, they faced off against OG, who recently welcomed Anathan “ana” Pham back. With their entire lineup complete, The International 2018 champions proved to be a tough matchup for Team Liquid. But, in the end, it was Team Liquid who won the series to book their tickets for Paris later in May.

Because of their consistent to placements in tournaments, tournament organizers have given Europe three slots for Majors this season. Ninjas in Pyjamas, OG, Alliance, and The Final Tribe will all be fighting for that final slot. If they lose and get eliminated, their last chance of qualifying for the Major will come from the OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019 in April, and that’s only if they win the Minor.

The MDL Disneyland Paris Major is the fourth Dota 2 Major of the 2018-19 Dota Pro Circuit. In addition to the whopping $1 million in prize pool it will have up for grabs, 15,000 DPC points will also be available.
