Counter-Strike: Global Offensive map designer Shawn “FMPONE” Snelling recently released a photo via Twitter showing off just how he’s almost completed remaking Cache.

The photo comes nearly a year after FMPONE first tweeted out a portion of his remake of Cache last year, on June of 2018. Judging by his most recent update, it seems that only a few areas are left. This includes the spawn area for the Terrorist side, as well as a couple of key areas around the A main and the B halls.

While the Cache rework is definitely good news for fans of the map, it’s a bit of a consolation prize if nothing else. This is because Cache was recently removed from the competitive map pool by Valve, and was replaced with Vertigo. This means that, even if Cache was completed and released, fans likely won’t be able to see it included in the competitive map rotation anytime soon.
