One of the biggest problems faced by Respawn Entertainment in terms of balancing Apex Legends is the fact that some of the characters have larger hitboxes compared to others. This makes them unfairly easier to hit compared to others without necessarily holding any competitive advantage.
The game’s developers might have finally found a way to address this problem, however. In Apex Legends’ version 1.1.1 update, the characters, Gibraltar and Caustic, were updated and received a Fortified perk that granted them a 10% reduction to incoming damage. At the same time, the developers also buffed the Gun Shield of Gibraltar, making him much better at tanking and taking damage than before. The latest update also makes a couple of changes to the game as well. In particular, two of the game’s most popular guns, the Spitfire machine gun and the Wingman pistol, received a bit of a nerf. Both will now have reduced ammo going forward. At the same time, the Spitfire will be dealing a little bit less damage from now on. While there’s been mixed reactions to the latest updates, all Apex Legends players have more reasons to play this coming weekend. This is because of the first-ever Battle Pass XP bonus event that will run until 1PM Eastern time on April 18.From now until then, Apex Legends players who bought a Season 1 Battle Pass will receive a full XP bonus for their first top-five round every day. The bonus XP event should help you max out your level and receive more rewards if you haven’t yet.
